The student and teacher desk meets the eligibility criteria for ISA Ministry of Education funding. Other funding sources may include insurance companies, WSIB, Easter Seals, March of Dimes depending upon the intended environment.

Students with identified needs within the education system may benefit from a student desk in situations including:

• Wheelchair or power wheelchair access;
• Computer or laptop accommodation and needs;
• Learning, sensory, perceptual and/or attendant needs;
• Educational assistance for physical, academic, sensory and/or behavioural needs;
• Where conventional classroom desks do not meet the student’s requirements to achieve the optimal level of participation in the school curriculum or individual education program.

Desk Features:

• A Left or right side work area.
• B Left or right side drawer set up.
• C 24"D x 48"L – standard wheelchair accessible.
• D Adjustable leg height (1" increments) with height ranges per prescriber/client. Adjustable floor-saver at the base of each leg to allow for fine-tuning of height.
• E Pull-out tray for a computer keyboard (26"W x 20"D) with a small lip trim and an easy roll drawer slide.
• F Angle work surface in-lay recessed into existing work surface. This adjusts to 6 different positions to provide optimal angle for the student’s specific needs eg. motor performance, visual range. Coloured arborite surface work area for a durable and smoother surface (28"L x 20"D), with detachable lip trim.
• G Lower drawer (15"W x 22"D x 12"H) for storage of texts, work books etc. Easy-roll with a brass handle. Top drawer (15"W x 22"D x 5"H) to hold supplies, easy roll with a brass handle.
• H Extra work area (Bakers shelf) pull-out located above the top drawer. Easy-roll with a brass knob.
• I Storage area on top of the desk for the computer hard drive and monitor (20"W x 24"D)
• J Brass hooks (2) on the exterior of the desk to store personal items.
