ABEL Enterprises has served the needs of our community by constructing custom woodworking and commercial furniture since 1984. While recognized as a progressive and high quality production facility, ABEL is also a non-profit agency which fosters social entrepreneurship. ABEL provides skill development opportunities and employment to more than 70 individuals in our community with a mental illness. Skilled trades-people provide training and oversee the production of all products, creating an atmosphere where both the membership and the customer benefit.

ABEL's licensed Cabinet Maker not only designs unique products to suit customer needs but also oversees all construction along with other supervisory staff. The facility is equipped with modern woodworking equipment as well as an up-to-date finishing booth.

ABEL's ability to serve the unique needs of individual clients has made them a leader in their field. Achievements include the construction of commercial bedroom furniture units for the City of Toronto's Homeless Shelters; the creation of furniture and adaptation services for disabled homeowners through Veteran Affairs; and the design and construction of desks and special activity/art centres for children with disabilities for the Grand Erie District School Board and the Brant, Haldimand, Norfolk Catholic School Board.
